Gardening? Really? Might be what some of you are thinking, but gardening is just what a seasoned traveler needs. You see gardening is something that really is perfect to make sure you are fit, healthy and free from stress.

To start with those who garden stay in shape. This is because spending time gardening and backyard landscaping can burn just as many calories as busting your butt in the gym for an hour. Gardeners are far less likely to have issues with obesity and they more often than not have a much lower BMI.

While gardening can give you a good sweat, it also can make sure that your mental health is taken care of. Gardening is one of the most productive stress relieving activities that a person can do. When you are out in the gardening, digging in the mud to plant some new exotic plant that you picked up on a trip. Or maybe you are trying to grow some kind of cool new fruit or vegetable? Or maybe you are installing a ranch rail fence with wire? No matter what you are doing, when you are in the garden, you are at ease and this can be a great way for you to get rid of any stress you have in your life. Then for hedging I am a big lover of the Hornbeam hedge, as it always looks incredible and is nice and easy to keep (see https://www.hedgesonline.com/hedging/taller-hedging/hornbeam-hedging/ for some great advice on Hornbeam hedging).

While gardening is great for taking care of your body and your mind. It also is going to allow you to be creative in the kitchen as you can grow pretty much anything you want. If plants are more your thing, then you can grow some pretty wild and crazy things in your garden and then have fun making sure they flourish!
