In a video recently shared on social media, a white student at Florida International University (FIU) saw him recite an explicit phrase repeatedly using the N-word, leading to students` anger and condemnation of the university. Update, Oct. 29: A spokesman for Florida International University says the school cannot confirm the woman`s identity in the video. In an earlier version of this story, it was said that the woman had been identified by the FIU as Samantha Ramer.

The FIU says Ramer is a student at the school, but it did not independently confirm that she was the woman dancing in the video. The New Times attempted to send a direct message today to the Ramer-linked Instagram account, but the account had banned new message requests. The Instagram account promotes Ramer`s SoundCloud page, on which she posts music under the name “DeathByDMT.” In a thread that accompanies her latest post “Dreaming on Biscayne,” several users alluded to their Instagram video and commented on “racist slut” and “Ass and she`s racist.” On Saturday, the Twitter user posted @fukinbuzzin the on-screen Instagram video on Twitter and marked the FIU saying, “@FIU is your student.
