After all, if we have been mostly confined to the four walls of our home, being a little stir crazy is bound to happen. Luckily, the government has eased restrictions and allowed us to do leisurely outdoor activities such as camping. Now, the only thing left for you to do is to find the perfect spot for it.

You do not need to worry about traveling far either, as the list we have created below only includes campsites near Manila. In this way, you can plan a weekend camping trip where you can allow yourself de-stress and revitalize.

1.) WK Forest Reserve and Campgrounds

Located in Tanay, Rizal, WK Forest Reserve, and Campgrounds prides itself in offering an old-school camping experience to its campers. While it may require a bit of a drive, this little-known campsite in Tanay, Rizal, is the perfect spot for serious campers who truly wish to disconnect and de-stress. Before visiting, however, it is recommended to make reservations to avoid overcrowding.

To access the campsite, you will need to cross six rivers. That said, you will need a 4X4 vehicle or something similar to reach the camp. Don’t worry too much about the logistics in travel, though, as it will all be worth it. By the time dusk falls on the campsite, you will be treated to a vision unlike any other: a blanket of stars where even galaxies and nearby planets are visible to the naked eye.

2.) Lambingan Hills

Another secluded campsite in Tanay, Lambingan Hills, is just an hour and a half away from Manila. It is located in a hilly area that offers campers a picturesque and scenic view of Laguna Lake complemented by verdant and lush mountains. Ideal for families and friends who are looking for a quick weekend retreat, Lambingan Hills is an old favorite. This is especially true since its main attraction is the rows of bright red and yellow Celosia flowers and swings hanging from the trees.

3.) Kubs Mountain Resort

Offering an avenue for a quick and spontaneous getaway, Kubs is a mountain resort located at KM80 Marilaque, Tanay Rizal. It is perfect for motorcyclists and road trippers owing to its proximity to the city. It is only two hours away from the city by motorcycle. One of the main attractions of Kubs mountain Resort is an overlooking and panoramic view of the Sierra Madre, which can be witnessed from their in-house restaurant that serves Filipino food. Apart from that, Kubs has spacious camping grounds and a swimming pool. Those who do not want to camp outdoors may rent their aircon rooms if they wish to stay overnight.

4.) Kuta Bungliw Eco-Lodge and Campsite

Individuals who crave adventure are going to love Kuta Bungliw Eco-Lodge and Campsite. Located in the boundaries of Tanay in Rizal and General Nakar in Quezon, the campsite is roughly 2-3 hours away from Manila which gives visitors an avenue for exploring other outdoor activities in the nearby DDaraitan. Kuta Bungliw is situated in a secluded and remote location with pocket campsites and several open-air huts. The campsite also has view decks that offer a generous panorama of the mountains and river below.

5.) Pacific Recreation Kamp

Campers who are on a budget go wish to go beach camping will love Pacific Recreation Kamp or PaRK. Located in Real, Quezon, Pacific Recreation Kamp offers a no-frills camping experience about three to four hours away from Manila. The campsite sits right next to the surfing grounds of Tignoan Beach, which allows campers easy access to Tignoan Beach should they wish to surf. The campsite has spacious areas for tent pitching as well as several nipa-hut open-air gazebos that can be rented for the night.
