Fdle Mutual Aid Agreements

Through a mutual aid agreement with the State of Texas and by order of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, the FDLE, Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) and FWC (Florida FWC) sent agents, officers and rescue personnel to supplement the Texas Department of Public Safety in Operation Lone Star. During Operation Lone Star, the FDLE, FHP and FWC said, “I think law enforcement in Florida set up border checkpoints and arrested and deported these illegal aliens! Governor DeSantis has called on the Biden Harris administration to stop any further relocation to Florida of the large number of illegal aliens apprehended at the southwest border. “President Biden, Vice President Harris and their administration have refused to take responsibility for enforcing immigration laws passed by Congress and the resulting influx of unverified illegal aliens threatens our national security and undermines the socio-economic well-being of hard-working American citizens,” said Gov. Ron DeSantis. “While the federal government is responsible for immigration enforcement, it is unfortunately the states that bear most of this government`s ruthless immigration policy. In a letter earlier this week, DeSantis said those who entered the country illegally do not have legal status under federal immigration law and that the federal government should not facilitate their relocation to the Sunshine State, hundreds of miles from the border.
