How I Spent a Day with my Family and Relatives in One Laiya Beach Resort for just Php9,000.00 for 25 pax

Being a thrifty traveler like me, I always find thousands of ways to make an awesome adventure possible whilst still being frugal. Organizing a solo trip (or even a small group) is quite easy for me and I’ve considered it one of my strengths. But organizing a group of 25 persons is a different story.

Two weeks before our family outing, I browsed the web to look for a cheaper beach resort in San Juan, Batangas and found One Laiya Beach Resort. After reading some positive reviews and feedbacks from their previous costumers, I called them right away and asked for some important information. This resort is perfect for a family outing and the best thing about their resort is that the entrance fee for children 12 years old and below is free.

Cottage:

You can choose between three types of cottages (see photo below). And since we’re on a day tour only, I didn’t feel the need to get a big room where we can sleep. I just need a cottage where we can put all our stuff so I chose an open hut cottage instead.

Transportation:

To save a lot of time and money, I didn’t rent a van because that’s worth Php5,000 with minimum of 12 persons only. Since we’re 25 persons all-in-all, I chose to rent a jeepney for just Php3,500 (inclusive of rent fee, driver, toll fee and gasoline).

Food:

For our food, I asked my sister to cook for us so we can bring ready-to-eat foods and to save time and money as well. Here’s the breakdown of our food menu.

  • 5 kgs. Pork Adobo – Php1,000
  • 1 kg. Chopsuey- Php300
  • 1 kg. Spaghetti – Php300
  • 2 kgs. Shanghai roll- Php400

One Laiya Beach Resort: Perfect for Family Bonding

After 4 hours of traveling from Biñan, Laguna to San Juan, Batangas, we’ve finally arrived in our destination. After paying our remaining balance and environmental fee, we went directly to our assigned cottage. We ate our lunch together, took photos and swam.

The beach is crystal clear and not too salty unlike other beaches in Batangas wherein the water in the beach is too salty that you’re not able to soak in for long periods of time. The resort is known for its white sand and safe clear sea water.

Conclusion:

If you’re looking for a white-sand beach along Batangas with clear blue water with a minimum amount of budget, One Laiya Beach Resort is perfect for you. They are also offering an overnight tour and you just need to add Php1,000 for the cottage.

Summary of Expenses (25pax):

  • Food – Php2,000.00
  • Jeepney Rental – Php3,500.00
  • Cottage – Php1,500.00
  • Entrance Fee:
    • 20 Adults – Php2,000.00
    • 5 Kids – Free

Total: Php9,000.00
